Triathlon Queensland (TQ) have introduced compulsory membership for all affiliated clubs and their members. This means that all new and existing Hervey Bay Tri Club members must join Triathlon QLD.

Starting from $42 ($12 TA, $30 Club) including TA membership for a social membership. This gets you access to all club communications including any events run by the committee and a discounted entry to all local club events. 

 

Unlike most associations you have the choice of joining as a social, standard or competing member.  HBTC doesn't discriminate between casual competitors and die hard racers, everyone's welcome!  No matter what level of membership you choose you'll have access to training and race support, get a cool club polo, be welcome to attend our social events and get to stay informed about Triathlon on the Fraser Coast!

New for 2024-2025 season will be regular club coaching sessions.  For 10 weeks from the 13th May this will be free to all club members as we test and tune the program.  See the Training page for more information.  The committee recommends a minimum of "Basic" Triathlon Australia membership for club formal coaching as this includes public liability insurance that will cover you in the event of an at fault incident.

As a competing member, you will receive athlete insurance cover through the Triathlon Australia National Insurance Program. Members are covered by Personal Accident cover and are able to claim benefits if they are injured while training or competing at Sanctioned Events across Australia. Please note, some membership types do not cover you for training insurance – please see the membership options details for full information on insurance coverage. Lower race entry fees because you are exempted from the one day membership fees which non annual members are required to pay for each race.
